Remember that the mean of 8 numbers is simply the sum of those 8 numbers divided by 8. So let's make 'x' the sum of those eight numbers. So this makes

x%2F8=7


Now just multiply both sides by 7 to get x=56. So the sum of the 8 numbers is 56.
