R=2%2B3x,no. of bb cards of Rita - 2 more 3 times than Ben
Condition:
If Rita gives 12 cards, they have equal number of bb cards.
Putting into eqn,
R-12=B%2B12 -------> working eqn
2%2B3x-12=x%2B12
3x-x=12%2B12-2
2x=22 ----> cross%282%29x%2Fcross%282%29=cross%2822%2911%2Fcross%282%29
x=11 no. of cards originally Ben has
For Rita, 2%2B3%2A11=2%2B33=highlight%2835cards%29 ANSWER (original no. of bb cards)
