Question 763919: he length of a rectangle is 3 m greater than the width. The perimeter is 38 m. What are the dimensions of the rectangle? Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Width = x
Length = 3 + x
Perimeter = 2*width + 2*length
38 = 2(x) + 2*(3 + x)
38 = 2x + 6 + 2x
4x = 38 - 6
4x = 32
x = 8
Width = 8m
Length = 11m
Hope this helps.
