(s*rs-r*rs)/((1/r)*rs - (1/s)*rs)


(rs^2-r^2s)/(s - r)


(rs(s-r))/(s - r)


rs


So (s-r)/(1/r - 1/s) = rs for all values of r and s where r does not equal s, and neither s nor r are zero.
