Because -X means the opposite of X, I think the answer to part one is yes, because if X = 3, the opposite of 3 is -3. -3 is less than 3.
I think the answer to part two is also yes, because if X= -3, the opposite would be 3, 3 is greater than -3.
Am I thinking correctly?
