If there's a sqrt involved, it changes the problem. You'll have to specify where.

Well if your problem is coppied correctly, all you have to do is add 3 to both sides.
Given: %28X+-+3%29+=+27
Since the (X - 3) is by itself and is not multiplied or divided by anything, you can drop the parenthesis.
X+-+3+=+27 Now add 3 to both sides
X+=+27+%2B+3
highlight%28X+=+30%29
