Ladder is 13 ft.
It represents the hypotenuse of the right triangle
Hypotenuse is the longest side.
Here it is not
so it wont reach the window

The length of the ladder, the distance the ladder is from the wall, and the distance the ladder is "up the wall" ALL form a 5-12-13 right-triangle.
Therefore, the ladder will only get 12' up the wall. That's IT!
Am I missing something here? Where does the other person see this problem mentioning a window?
