Question 364114: I need help with my homework and figuring how to explain an event and a probability.
The question asks me to:
(b) Describe the event X < 7 in words. What is P(X < 7)?
I said:
The event, X is less than seven, means that X is measured in seven days or less and the values listed for X all fall under seven days. The values for X were not calculated for more than seven days for how many times people went to an exercise or fitness center or a work out. The responses all added up together equal to one.
The probability that X is less than 7 doesn’t included seven because it is not less than or equal to seven but instead it is 0-6 days probability added together= 0.68+0.05+0.07+0.08+0.05+0.04+0.01=0.98
If we know that the probabilities all add up to one, we could also subtract 0.02 from 1 to come up with the answer.
Is this correct?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

------
The paragraph I copied above is correct. The paragraph you posted
above this one is not correct.
