Question 1203705: Roulette wheels in Nevada have 38 pockets. They are numbered 0, 00, and 1 through 36.
On each spin of the wheel, a ball lands in a pocket, and each pocket is equally likely.
a. If you spin a roulette wheel 38 times, is it certain that each number will come up once?
Explain.
b.If you spin a roulette wheel 3800 times, is it certain that each number will come up 100
times? Explain.
c. As the wheel is spun more and more times, will the proportion of times that each number
comes up approach 1∕38? Why do you think what you answered

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

For parts (a) and (b) refer to this link
https://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/Probability-and-statistics/Probability-and-statistics.faq.question.1203704.html

Part (c)
As the number of spins approaches infinity (i.e. gets really really large), the proportion of each value should be roughly 1/38. It won't be perfect because random processes are chaotic in nature. There's many factors such as various physics properties of the wheel and ball interacting together. This assumes that the wheel and ball have not been rigged in any fashion.
