The chances of any other number coming up on the 1st roll is 5/6, so the chances on 2 rolls is 5/6 x 5/6, which is roughly 69.44%. 100% less that is 30.55%, which is your chance for a 6 on either roll. So your expected value is $1 x 30.55%=$0.355. Your friends expected value is $1 x 69.44%, or $0.6944. ☺☺☺☺
