You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve:
x%5E2+=+-6x Divide both sides by x.
x+=+-6
Check:
%28-6%29%5E2+=+%28-6%29%28-6%29
36+=+36

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you get all x terms to one side then you should get 2 solutions
x%5E2%2B6x=0Get all terms to one side
x%28x%2B6%29=0Factor out an x. Each factor is part of the solution, for instance if I divide both sides by x+6 then x=0. If I divide both sides by x, then I get x+6=0
x=0Solution 1
x%2B6=0
x=-6Solution 2
So the solutions are: x=-6 and x=0
Check
0%5E2=-6%2A0
0=0Solution works
Note: this response is similar to the previous answer but x=0 is also a solution.
