Change the word "plus" to " + ".

Change the "15%261%2F2" to "31%2F2"

Change the word "equals to " = "

    2x + 10 = 31%2F2

Multiply every term through by the LCD or 2

    4x + 20 = 31

Subtract 20 from both sides:

         4x = 11

          x = 11%2F4

          x = 2%263%2F4
