Question 1130156: Hi can someone please help me with transformations:
y = -(-x+2)^4
Besides the fact that its reflected in both x and y axis, does it shift to the left 2 units or to the right? When you take out the negative: y = -(-(x-2))^4, so wouldn't it move right 2 units?
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
It is a line OF THE DEGREE 4 like a parabola open downward. Agree ?

The vertex is at x= 2.

Hence, the line is shifted 2 units to the right from 0 (from zero).
