Yet "y" be number done with Method II.
Time equation: 1x + 1.5y = 36
Cost Equation: 3x + 1.5y = 60

Subtract time equation from cost equation to get:
2x=24
x=12 (number done with Method I)
Substitute into time equation to solve for y as follows:
12 + 1.5y = 36
1.5y = 24
y = 16 (number done with Method II)
