You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Split this into 2 inequalities, -3 < 5x + 2 and 5x + 2 <= 12.
Solve the first inequality for x.
-3 < 5x + 2, so 5x + 2 > -3
5x > -5
x > -1
Solve the second inequality for x.
5x + 2 <= 12
5x <= 10
x <= 2
So the graph will be on a number line. There will be an open dot on -1 and a closed dot on 2, and the line between -1 and 2 will be shaded.
