parallelogram --> 2 pairs of parallel sides, 2 pairs of sides of equal length

AB = CD
BC = DA
4x + y = 3x + 6 --> y = 3x - 4x + 6 = -x + 6
y + 4 = 2x + y --> y - y = 2x - 4 --> 0 = 2x - 4 --> 4 = 2x --> x = 2
y = -x + 6 --> y = -2 + 6 = 4
AB = 4x + y = 4*2 + 4 = 8 + 4 = 12
BC = y + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8
CD = 3x + 6 = 3*2 + 6 = 6 + 6 = 12
DA = 2x + y = 2*2 + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8
