You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You must multiply by the lowest common denominator which is 6x here.
You then get
24 - 10x = x^2
which leads to
x^2 + 10x - 24 = 0
(x+12)(x-2)=0
x=-12 or x=2
Both check out okay, too.
