You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the two-digit number be ab (a is the ten's digit; b is the unit's digit)
EQUATIONs:
a=b-4
10a+b is the value of the number "ab" just as 23=10*2+3.
Therefore 10a+b=3(a+b)+2
10a+b=3a+3b+2
7a-2b=2
Now you have two equations; solve by substitution, as follows:
7(b-4)-2b=2
7b-28-2b=2
5b=30
b=6
Since a=b-4, a=6-4=2
Solution is a=2, b=6
The two-digit number is 26
