You can put this solution on YOUR website! There are two parts of the problem: 1.The rent of car for 5 days is $16 per day. This means that for each day Larry would be getting $16 for 5 days. Thus, we have 5 days rent:
 $16×5=$80
2.The rent of the car by driving 1200 miles which is $0.12 per mile. Thus for driving 1200 miles the rent would be:
 $(1200×0.12)=$144
Thus, we total the rent calculated in two pars as:
 Total Rent=$(80+144)=$224

 Total cost:16D + 1200(.12)____16(5) + 1200(.12)_____80 + 144_____$
  You can do the check!!
