You can put this solution on YOUR website! .08x+70=.07(7,000-x)
.08x+70=490-.07x
.08x+.07x=490-70
.15x=420
x=420/.15
x=2,800 amount invested @ 8%.
7,000-2,800=4,200 amount invested @ 7%.
Proof:
.08*2,800+70=.07*4,200
224+70=294
294=294
