You can put this solution on YOUR website! I JUST DISCOVERED THAT YOU ONLY HAVE 8 FRUITS ----NOT 9. OR IS IT JUST ME?
strawberry-blueberry=banana---or strawberry-3=banana--------------eq1
orange+watermelon=apple--- or 1+watermelon=apple------------------eq2
watermelon*cherry=apple-------------------------------------------eq3
banana/blueberry=cherry -or banana/3=cherry--or banana=3*cherry---eq4
pear=?????
substitute from eq4, banana=3*cherry into eq1 and we get:
strawberry-3=3*cherry -or strawberry=3*cherry+3--------------eq4a
ok, if we examine this, we can see that cherry cannot be >2. If cherry is greater than 2, say 4 (3 is already taken), then strawberry would be 3*4+3=15 and strawberry cannot be greater than 9. Soooo cherry has to be 2 because 1 and 3 are already taken. THEREFORE, that means that strawberry is 3*2+3=9
Now so far,we have
orange 1
cherry 2
blueberry 3
and strawberry 9
Next,look at eq4. banana=3*cherry=3*2=6
Now we add banana--6
Now, look at eq2 and eq3
1+watermelon=apple and
watermelon*cherry=apple or watermelon*2=apple
1+watermelon=2*watermelon subtract watermelon from each side
1=2*watermelon-watermelon or
watermelon=1
WHOAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
