You are given the total points, so to find out how many the team scored in each qt. you will do simple math
1st qt=36*1/6=6
2nd qt=36*1/4=9
3rd qt=36*1/3=12
set the problem up to read something like
36=36%2A1%2F6%2B36%2A1%2F4%2B36%2A1%2F3%2Bx
and sove for x
In this case x=9
Check
36=6+9+12+9
36=36
Another way would have been to add the fraction together and you would have gotten 3/4. After you know this you can multiply 36x3/4=9
