Question 1065924: I want to mow my lawn this summer but I need a new lawn mower. I can choose a riding mower or a push mower. The push mower has a 1 gallon tank and uses 1/2 tank each time I mow the lawn. In addition, it takes 2 hours to mow my lawn with the push mower. The riding mower, on the other hand, has a 4 gallon tank but only uses 1/4 of a tank to mow my lawn and only takes 30 minutes to complete. If the cost of gas is $4 per gallon and I want to mow my lawn twice a week for 8 weeks, which mower has the best cost/hour deal for the entire summer? (prove it by showing the math you did)--hint: find out how many times you will mow the lawn, how much gas you need, how much the gas will cost and how long it will take for the entire summer.
