a)Let n be the common factor in the ratio 3:5. Then:
3n+5n=72
8n=72
n=9
3n=27 kg beans
5n=45 kg maize
b)98+72=170
8n+9n=170
n=10
Final mixture:
80 kgs beans
90 kgs maize
80-27=53
90-45=45
The ratio of mixture B is 53:45
