%28B-2%29%2B3A=42 first solve for A
3A=42-%28B-2%29
3A=42-B%2B2
3A=44-B
A=44%2F3-B%2F3
highlight%28A=14.67-B%2F3%29

B-2%2B3A=42 now solve for B
B=42%2B2-3A
B=highlight%2844-3A%29
