There are two ways to attack messy quadratics like this.
1st; graph it and find the x-intercepts using a calculator.
Checking b^2-4ac you find there are no Real Number intercepts.
or
2nd; use the quadratic formula:
x = [-3.25 +- sqrt(3.25^2 - 4*23.5*15.6)]/[2*23.5]
x = [-3.25 +- 38.16i]/[47]
