You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The plane x+ 2y +2z=4 intersects the positive coordinate axis OX,OY and OZ in three points A,B and C respectively.
A.) find the coordinates of the three A,B and C.
To find "A":
Let Y and Z = 0
A = (4,0,0)
To find "B"
Let X and Z = 0
B = (0,2,0)
To find "C":
Let X and Y = 0
C = (0,0,2)
--------------------
B.) find the area of the triangle ABC.
Find the length of the 3 sides.
Use Heron's formula:: Area = sqrt[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)] where s = (a+b+c)/2
