Take care of multiplications and divisions first; and then deal with additions and subtractions.

Steps may vary,....
8y-15-6y=85-3x
8y-6y-15=85-3x
+3x+2y-15=85-3x+3x
3x+2y-15+15=85+0+15
3x+2y=100

PostNote - Are you SURE the x is not supposed to be a y instead? If it IS supposed to be y, then you'd really end up with 3y+2y=100, then you would add the terms of y:
5y=100
%285y%29%2F5=100%2F5
y=20.

Your original shown equation had two variables, x and y.
