Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -4
Multiply (2) by 1
8 x -4 y = 20
-3 x + 4 y = 55
Add the two equations
5 x = 75.00
/ 5
x = 15
plug value of x in (1)
-2 x + 1 y = -5
-30 + 1 y = -5
1 y = -5 + 30
1 y = 25
y = 25
