the slope-intercept form: y=mx%2Bb

y=5x-1..first we know that this line has a slope m=5 and y-intercept at b=-1
since parallel lines have same slope, we know that a line parallel to
our given line is also m=5
so, we have y=5x..we can use this line (means we chose b=0) or choose any value for b and use that line (like if b=7, then y=5x%2B7); either way will be parallel to our given line
