There is a general form that you can put any
linear equation into. It is called the slope-intercept form
+y+=+m%2Ax+%2B+b+
In this form +m+ is the slope of the equation, which is:
[ change in y between 2 points ] / [ change in x between 2 points ]

If they only give you " slope = 3 "
then they are telling you that the slope-intercept form
looks like: +y+=+3x+%2B+b+ ( but +b+ could be any number )
