Question 972280: -6<2x-8/3<0
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! -6<2x-8/3<0
add 8/3 to every part to isolate 2x.
-10/3<2x<8/3.
Divide everything by 2 to isolate x. Unfortunately, when I do this here, it does not format, so I will leave the interval below.
(-5/3,4/3).
Check in original. Zero should work.
-6<-8/3<0 ; yes.
-2 should not work.
-6 < -4-2 1/3 <0. it doesn't.
2 should not work.
-6<4-8/3<0 It does not work.
