Question 970439: 0.8(3x+6)>=1.1-(x+2)
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 0.8(3x+6)>=1.1-(x+2)
2.4x +4.8>= 1.1-x-2=-x-0.9 Distribute the -1 over both the x and 2 to get -x and -2.
Add x to both sides
3.4 x + 4.8>=-0.9
Subtract 4.8 from both sides
3.4 x >= -5.7
Divide both sides by 3.4
x>=-1.67 (not 1 2/3)
To check:
Try 0, it should work
0.8(6)>=1.1-2
4.8>=-(0.9)
Try -2. It should not work
0.8(-6+6)>=1.1 -(-2+2)
0.8 >=1,1 Not true
