: Solve the system of equations using the addition (elimination) method. If the answer is a unique solution, present it as an ordered pair: (x,y). If not, specify whether the answer is "no solution" or "inifinitely many solutions."

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x+y=-2, y=-5x-2 now substitute (-5x-2) for y & solve for x
4x+7(-5x-2)=2
4x-35x-14=2
-31x=2+14
-31x=16
x=16/-31
x=-16/31 answer. now substitute -16/31 for x & solve for y
5*-16/31+y=-2
-80/31+y=-2
y=-2+80/31
y=(-62+80)/31
y=18/31 answer.
