Question 718267: Hello, y= -1/3x + 6 is the problem.
I have 3 and 6 as my x values, but whenever i draw my graph, there is no line. I get (3,5) and (6,4)
Is it just my adding and multiplying or am i doing it wrong?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+y+=+-%281%2F3%29%2Ax+%2B+6+
(3,5), and (6,4)
You have 2 more points that are easy to
calculate:
{ x, 0 ) and ( 0, y )
When +y+=+0+,
+0+=+-%281%2F3%29%2Ax+%2B+6+
+%281%2F3%29%2Ax+=+6+
+x+=+18+
-----------
and, also
(0,y)
+y+=+-%281%2F3%29%2A0+%2B+6+
+y+=+6+
---------
So, you have 2 more points,
(18,0) and ( 0,6 )
Here's what the line looks like:
+graph%28+400%2C+400%2C+-6%2C+24%2C+-6%2C+10%2C+-%281%2F3%29%2Ax+%2B+6+%29+
