: Anyone know this?
Graph the system and solve the system by substitution or elimination.
3x - y = -2
2x^2 - y = 0
these are both inside one large parenthesis, but I don't know how to draw it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well, if you solve for y in terms of x, that would allow you to draw the graph.

y=3x+%2B2
y=2x%5E2
Graphing calculator methods are very nice here:
graph+%28300%2C300%2C+-4%2C4%2C-4%2C12%2C+3x%2B2%2C+2x%5E2%29

In addition, you probably wanted to solve it algebraically. This would be
where 2x%5E2+=+3x%2B2
2x%5E2+-+3x+-2+=+0
%282x%2B1%29%28x-2%29+=+0
x=+-1%2F2 or +x+=+2

If x+=+-1%2F2, then +y+=+3%2A%28-1%2F2%29%2B2=+1%2F2
If x=2, then y=3%2A2+%2B+2+=+8

Two points of solution: (-1/2,1/2) and (2,8).
