You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let m = slope = 2
m = (difference of y coordinates)/(difference of x coordinates)
2 = (9 - 5)/(x - (-3))
2 = 4/(x + 3)
2(x + 3) = 4
2x + 3 = 4
2x = 4 - 3
2x = 1
x = 1/2
