You can put this solution on YOUR website! I suppose you are asking a question pertaining to graphing inequalities. If an inequality is "less than" or "greater than" use a dotted line. If the inequality is "less than or equal to" or "greater than or equal to" use a solid line.
If it is "less than" or "less than or equal to" shade downward. If it is "greater than" or "greater than or equal to" shade upward.
For example:
y<3x+2
1. Put a point at (0,2)
2. From that point, go up 3 units and to the right 1 unit. Insert another point.
3. Connect the two points together by making a dotted line.
4. The inequality states "less than", so you need to shade downward. (Everything below the line)
