Now plot the values -6 and 4 on the number line

number_line%28+500%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-6%2C4%29


Since -6 is less than 4 (or -6 is to the left of 4 on the number line), this means that

-6 < 4


You can reverse everything (including the sign) to get

4 > -6
