You can put this solution on YOUR website!

y-3=3%28x%2B1%29
in slope intercept form
y=3%28x%2B1%29%2B3
y=3x%2B3%2B3
y=3x%2B6 where slope is 3 and y-intercept 6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y - 3 = 3(x + 1)

Distribute on the right to remove the parentheses:

y - 3 = 3x + 3

Get y alone on the left side by adding +3 to both sides

y - 3 = 3x + 3
  + 3      + 3
--------------
y     = 3x + 6

Answer: y = 3x + 6.  The slope is 3 and the y-intercept is (0,6)
