Question 155395: Use paragraph proofs:
Given angle VST is acute,
Prove angle RSV is obtuse
~here is my answer
Given the information, we know that angle vst is acute, and we must prove that angle rsv is obtuse. If we set everything equal to 180 degrees, and angle vst is acute, then angle rsv is obtuse because of subtraction rule. Acute subtracted from 180 in this case leaves an obtuse angle. Therefore angle rsv is obtuse.
If I am WRONG, PLEASE TELL ME A STEP BY STEP WAY TO WRITING THIS PROOF, AND PLEASE GIVE ANSWER!
THANKS!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! It seems that RST is a straight angle.
and VS ray is forming two angles RSV and VST
if VST is acute then RSV = 180 - VST
as VST is acute -- less than 90
RSV = 180 - (90 - x)
RSV = 180 - 90 + x
RSV = 90 + x > 90
Which shows that RSV is > 90 so it is always Obtuse.
I hope this is clear to you.
