You can put this solution on YOUR website!
verandah, which measures 9 meters by 7 meters. the tile i want to use is measured at 25cm by 25cm. how many tiles will i need to complete my job ?
:
Find the area of the verandah in square cm: 900 * 700 = 630,000 sq/cm
Find the area of each tile: 25 * 25 = 625 sq/cm
Find how many tile required: 630000/625 = 1008 tiles exactly
:
that would be
900/25 = 36 tiles long
700/25 = 28 tiles wide
:
Check: 36 * 28 = 1008 tiles
