You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3x%2By=12
Start by moving everything but y to one side:
Add 3x to both sides:
-3x%2By%2B3x=12%2B3x
Since you do this to both sides, the equation is still equal.
Then simplify by combining terms.
-3x%2By%2B3x=12%2B3x
%28-3x%2B3x%29%2By=12%2B3x
0%2By=3x%2B12
y=3x%2B12
