Question 53059: what is a range??and domain??
Answer by consc198(59) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Here is an example:
Find the range of the funcion f : x = 2x + 1 if the domain is ( -1 , 0 , 1 , 2)
-1 = -1
0 = 1
1 = 3
2 = 5
Domain Range
The above 'diagram' shows that the range is ( -1 , 1 , 3 , 5)
Dictionary Definitions
Domain : The domain of a function is the set of all input values to the fraction.
Range : A function is a relation, such that each element of a set (the domain) is associated with a unique element of another (possibly the same) set (the codomain, not to be confused with the range). The concept of a function is fundamental to virtually every branch of mathematics and every quantitative science.
