I tried to figure it out but I am not getting the answer the book shows. The line & 5 is supposed to be underneath9C + 160

F = (9C + 160)/5

First multiply both sides of the equation by 5. That should yield:
5F = 9C + 160

Next add -160 to both sides. That should yield:
5F - 160 = 9C

Then, divide both sides by 9. Do you get?
(5F-160)/9 = C

I hope that this is the answer in the book.
