Hello,
Let x represent the number of adults, therefore the following equation can be set up:
150x+3(70)=2500
Subtract 210 and divide by 150 to get:
x=15.27
Now we know 15 adults can safely ride in the elevator.
Make sense?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = number of adults

3*70 + x*150 <= 2500

210 + 150x <= 2500

150x <= 2500-210

150x <= 2290

x <= 2290/150

x <= 15.266

x <= 15

So up to 15 adults can ride the elevator.
