Question 1183277: Pls help. The amount of money that a local charity earns by selling T-shirts at a mall
depends on the price of each T-shirt. The monthly profit,y, in dollars is given by the quadratic equation y=-35x^2 + 1250x - 6500 where,x,represents the price of each T-shirt.
a) Determine the roots of the equation
b) Determine the vertex of the parabola.
c) Draw a sketch of the relationship. Label the axes and the vertex
d) Under what circumstances will the charity maximize its profit (make the most money)?
e) Describe the significance of the roots in terms of the graph and in terms of the charity’s venture
f) Determine the range of prices that the charity could consider, in order to
make a monthly profit of at least $3000

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
Regarding making the plots, my position is principled:
It is the student' job, and it is the student
who MUST DO IT on HIS or HER own, without asking for help from outside.
If the student does not make HIS (or HER) job, he (or she) is simply a bum.
Therefore, if you do not want to have (to make) a scandal, do this job on your own
and do not include such requests into your future posts.
Regarding your request on finding the roots (part a), I can not believe to my eyes.
I know for sure, that the students study / learn the problems on finding maximum/minimum of quadratic functions
only after they learned solving quadratic equations. It is a standard NECESSARY PRE-REQUISITE.
So, if you can not solve a quadratic equation and can not find its roots on your own, then you simply are in wrong class.
If you are not agree with me, then PLEASE clarify.
