You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x be the cost of 20 units, then 1 rupee is (100%-25%)= (75%) of x.
Given that 1 rupee = 100paise:
75x%2F%28100%29+=+100
x=100%2A100%2F75
x=133.33 paise
The cost of 20 units should be 133.33 paise.

.
From the condition, 20 flowers were bought for a rupee.

Hence, the price for each flower was 100%2F20 = 5 paise when bought.

To gain 25%, 20 flowers should be sold for 125 paise.

It means that each of the 20 flowers should be sold for 125%2F20 = 6.25 paise.

Therefore, the number of flowers to sell for a rupee is 100%2F6.25 = 16.

ANSWER. 16 flowers should be sold for a rupee.
