SOLUTION: This is on elimination. 3x+y=1 5x-y=1 I already solved this, and got (1/8, 5/8) Now, the 1/8 checks, but the 5/8 doesn't check. Any suggestions?

5x-y=1

adding we get
8x =2
x = 2/8 =1/4
so y = -(3*(1/4))
so y = -3/4
so ur answer was wrong
