Question 28604: How many solutions does 2j+4=2j-5 have?
I wanted to say it has no solution? Is that right?
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! correct. What we have is essentially 2 straight lines, y=2j+4 and y=2j-5. Both have the same gradient (m=2), so this means the 2 lines are parallel to each other, so they will never cross, producing a "solution".
